You bet - My life, or the person? I choose my life over the person doing me harm. I choose the life of a loved one over the person trying to do them harm.
I own two guns and if someone comes into my home, I'll see it as a direct threat.

If you are killing the child to save your own life or the life of someone else because he's pointing an AK-47 at you, then yes, it is totally justified. If we are talking about giving a child the death penalty for a crime, then no...There is a reason why children rights and responsibilities as adults. They have to be taught right from wrong, and we expect them to make mistakes while they are growing up. Obviously, some of them make mistakes which cause more harm than others, but they are still children, and no matter what they have done, they can be rehabilitated and brought back into society when appropriate.

If someone comes in my house without permission with intent to harm my family or me and they get shot or hit in the head and die in the process then that is self defense and i consider that justifiable.
If I ever feel that i am being harmed in any way or my family is being harmed in any way and the only way i can protect them is by killing them... then i would say that is justifiable. Sad, but true. It's a cruel world.

You spelled it right and it is always justifiable. Whether or not you try to justify it tells what type of person you are.

It most definitely is. In cases of self-defense especially. When it comes down to a choice of them or me, I am going to win everytime. And believe it or not there is a law on the books in Texas that basically states if the guy was an a$$hole and deserved it then it's justified.

Yes, of course. Killing is part of life and unless you kill, you die. How can you eat without killing something, vegan or not? Even preparing your food to eat safely involves killing millions of bacteria. I think you mean killing another person, however.
Killing in self defense is really no different than killing to feed yourself. It is self preservation and completely allowable. Sometimes, there is no moral high ground to take and you must act in self interest, that's life.

Yes. Traditionally in the common law of the USA you can be deemed not guilty of murder if you believed at the time of the killing that either your life or the life of a family member was in imminent danger of death AND you killed the person you felt to be causing that danger.

Yes, war, self defense, possibly moral conviction, legal execution, murder to remove a key official that has the potential to be the new Hitler. It’s all a matter of finding a situation that is, well, as far from ideal as it could possibly be.

I feel that killing should only take place when all other options have failed and to protect an innocent person or ones self is the only time it should occur.

murder-no murder is killing without cause. if you kill to defend someone else or yourself-that is right and necessary
war is another instance-afghan. and iraq were both justifiable-because it was in defense-we knew that the terrorists wanted to "gang up" on us, so killing them was right---
i hope u r never in a situation where u have to defend ur own life
