i am 20 yrs old and since past ten yrs i love my cousin (my mother's sister's daughter)but at home they are not accepting our love saying that she is my sister. both of us are hindus.can we get married ourselves and can v register the marriage the same day under hindu law?will our marriage be accepted legally?or will any problem arise?we dont have the time to wait for thirty days after giving the consent form... or can we submit the forms in any other city within india like delhi and after 30 days can v get married?or after marrying can v register in any other city within india the same day or next day?

I once hooked up with my cousin, but she was distant like 7th cousins. she was hot though and we promised never to tell anyone. She is hot though. But yeah I think that you have some serious issues. One of them is incest. But if you must marry her come to the States and you can marry her in Las Vegas.

hey. . i dont know the exact law in India. . but, Iam part hindu .& i know about Consanguinity.
Though, from what i understand it is safer to marry a Matrilateral cousin, than one on your father side. (patrilateral). The birth defect issue is only 2 times more risk than marrying anyone else. Especially someone from the same state / same country. But you should get genetical councelling before you make any hasty decisions. here are some resources. . .

I do not know the law or custom in India.
In former times in Europe & elsewhere it was permissible to marry a first cousin, but not today in the US, unless you are both at least 55 years old & sterile - then still that is only in the state of Nebraska.

you have to look at birth defects and just look at it as just nasty nasty nasty!!!! your baby could really come with some serious birth defects...so look at it like this do u two love each other so much to hurt a childs life???
