i know it is very hard to decide what you want to do... and many people change their majors a lot when they get into college. so the best advice i can give you is when you get in there, TAKE YOUR CORE REQUREMENTS!!! I say this is important because if you decide to change your major your major credits are gonna change and that's more work, but if you take your courses that are required aside the courses for your major, then you won't have a loss... i know usually in the spring or winter they will have like a college fair that you can go to and it will have many colleges that you can look at and see what is the right one for you. i know there's a lot of choices, but your gpa, and your sat, and act scores will also determine that. you also want to consider if you want to go to a big university where you're a needle in a haystack with like 200 people in one class, or a small college where the professor will know you on a first name basis or at least will recognize you. you want to consider how far you wanna go from family.... also try to apply for scholarships.. you never know until you try. I won one and couldn't believe it! I won a scholarship for 500 dollars!! I know it's peanuts but when you're in college every lil' bit counts!! YOu want to consider if you'll be on campus or outside of campus and if you're out of campus how far will you live away from the school so you can commute to a job if you get one.. there's many things to narrow it down, so my best advise is to shop around just like anything else because you ar ethe one that's gonna be paying for it, so get the college that best suits your educational and miscellaneous needs.. talk to your counselor and get some guidance on what steps you need to take and go from there, and in the mean time, keep your grades up, and start prepping for your act/sat tests. those will determine what college you will be going to and or what classes you can start off taking. Good luck, and don't sweat it..
Also, start to get some info on financial aid as well.. you don't want too late on that as well. But as far as your major goes, it will come to you. Think of something that you would love to do every single day even if you didn't get paid for it, and go from there.

Okay! What you do is check out the local area near the college you're investigating to see if it has any decent public houses. How cheap is the beer & whiskey etc..? Are the pub toilets clean? Do they have good pool tables?

Then hang around these when you sign in the college.

Talk to your guidance counselor, and read over some college brochures. You don't have to decide a major as soon as you get to college

I go to Mizzou (university of missouri-columbia) The research here is amazing, and journalism is number one inthe whole country, we also have a veterinary medicine school here too, which a lot of schools don't have. So you have a lot of options as far as science and english go.
