These people have genuine concerns. Their is absolutely no need for anyone to ever be rude to anyone when they have a question.

Unfortunately, as much as this type of forum is helpful, people feel comfortable to use it to vent their frustrations because it is anonymous and people know that they can get away with being rude, when normally, they would never be this way in a face to face conversation. People who are rude for the sake of being rude on the Internet are cowards because they are aware that there are no ramifications for their actions.

I get sick of sugar-sweet answers to stupid questions, as well. Questions of "genuine concerns" usually don't get the rude answers.
Often people don't want to hear the clear truth that they are the jerks, and the one they are complaining about is innocent, so they think it is a rude answer.
One should not ask questions here unless he/she is willing to take all the answers, and even the rude ones should be considered, as there's lots of truth often to be found in sarcasm.

FINALLY again, there should be a FAMILY FRIENDLY Q&A and another for adults. All you family friendly people should push for that and block your kids from the adult site.

If people are making seriously nasty comments about the person who is asking a question, report them, and the answer will usually be deleted. Some people think because they are anonymous here that it's okay to be rude and abusive, but it isn't. They are showing what they are really like when nobody is looking, and quite often that's not a pretty sight.

It's the gaming mentality. Any answer earns 2 points. The person with the most points wins in any game. Doesn't matter if the answer is short, crude, rude or just plain offensive. To the gaming mentality - 2 points is 2 points. It's sad. I've seen the type you refer to and it's no wonder what they could possibly be like in the real world. They must be very sad specimens of the human race.

We all just need to weed out the answers that we don't like , because there is no way of weeding out the rude people . I never take anything on here personally .

I have absolutely no idea. I just posted a question a few minutes ago and someone implied that I was "stupid."

Yeah I agree with those who said that when someone is behind a computer screen, they feel like they can take out their frustrations on people.

I kind of tend to agree with that whole "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" thing...simple, but is it really that hard? lol..geez!

Some of the people asking questions are rude. The only reason they ask some these questions is to bash someone, degrade someone, or try to make someone angry.

I agree with "sagewithin" comments. People can be obnoxious and rude when they're not seen. It gives them a sense of empowerment.
