hi PleasantFlower.

I guess the Muslim sisters have given some good right answer but that's for you to decide ofcourse. Why don't you try it one day. Serious, with all the covering and face veil, who'd now who you are or who you are looking at anyway? :p

Oh, and the Dentist idiot above thinks he's smart and funny when he's only shooting himself in the a*ss by making stupid and ignorant comments. Just thought I'd share that with you.

Have a nice day.

The dress that we wear is called a hijab or abaya.
It can be made of any material to suit the wearer. In the middle east they are very light obviously because of the heat where as in the the west say England the material is thicker.
They come in different styles and in exquisite material and for custom made outfits you can expect to pay a lot of money.

Salam,

lol.

The long gowns are called abayas and they are made from various types of cloth from linen to cotton. And when we wear it no matter how hot it is we don't get annoyed because it's our faith in God (Allah) that we wear it in the first place.

There was this girl in college who was covered up from head to toe (including face) and some reporter was in the college and he asked her if she was hot?
She replied, "fire of hell is hotter."
Meaning that she was doing it out of obedience for her Lord and she didn't wanted to upset Him or make Him angry by letting small weight of heat take it off.

Take care!
