The bible is also a series of books, written and rewritten by PEOPLE, millennia ago, and has no bearing on modern society except for that which we choose to implement. I believe in the right to be happy, and I also believe that other peoples' relationships do not affect me in any way, shape or form, and so I (and the government especially) have no right to discourage or look down upon homosexuality. It's about PREFERENCE and FREEDOM.
Barring same-sex marriage creates second-class citizenship, which is exactly what we as a nation have been fighting against: Emancipation, done. Women's suffrage, done. The next civil rights battle is to grant the same rights to all people regardless of sexual preference, and hopefully it shall also be done. To limit the rights of same-sex couples would be the undoing of the PRINCIPLES behind granting citizenship to former slaves and allowing women the right to indiscrimination. If this were to happen, then America no longer stands for freedom; I'm moving out.

There are many people who believe that being gay is a terrible sin that is unforgivable in God's eyes. Let me start by saying that God can forgive any sin no matter how heinous, if the person who seeks forgiveness is genuine, and the turn from the sin. True contrition is a prerequisite for forgiveness. Having said that, being gay is not any worse sin than being proud, or arrogant, or haughty, or deceitful, or rude, or boastful, or gossiping, or any other sin. Although the effects of some sins are worse than others, the eternal result for every sin is the same. The wages of sin is death. Just because being gay is a more open, sin people feel licensed to judge the sinner. Other private sins are much more destructive, but are tolerated by society as being more acceptable.
Many people have tried to make the argument that being gay is inherited, thus beyond someone's control. While there may be some truth that people are born with homosexual tendencies, this does not give license to sin. We are all born with sinful tendencies. Some have sinful tendencies toward addiction, or hate, or anger etc. In reality, it doesn't matter whether one is born with and evil tendency or picks it up along the way. There is never a license to sin. Jesus said "be ye therefore perfect, even as your father in heaven is perfect" We are called to perfection. The Holy Spirit is God's agent for changing every evil tendency whether inherited or acquired.
The Bible makes a clear case for homosexuality being a sin. It is not a sin to have homosexual tendencies. It only becomes sin when you lust and then act upon that lust. In that regard homosexuals who are not yet given the victory over their tendencies are expected to be celibate, the same as single heterosexual people are.

The Christians who believe that homosexuality is wrong base this on the writings of Paul in the Bible, where he specifically states that no homosexual will enter into heaven. If you believe that the Bible is the absolute, perfect, never changing word of God then you are forced to conclude that homosexuality is an abomination before the Lord. However, not all Christian except the absolute infallibility of the Bible. Many believe that it is an essentially inspired book, but not perfect in every aspect as it is transmitted through imperfect human hands.
Now for myself personally. I believe in God. God is an infinity. Our finite minds cannot comprehend an infinity. At most we are only able to catch a glimpse of a piece of God. Now here is the problem. God wants to communicate with us, but how does an infinity communicate with the finite that cannot comprehend the totality of the communication? The answer is that God assumes cultural masks, or Jungian archetypes if you will, that are familiar to us, so that we can recognize the communication. God is not bound by cultural prejudice, theological dogma, gender bias, or political correctness. I've discovered that it isn't what you believe that matters, but whether or not you're listening.

GOD'S intentions were not for woman and woman and man and man, but people in general not just Christians are against it, I as a Christian do not judge people because I have my own faults. I am a Christian and is not into religion too much, I follow the bible as a way to guide me but I am not the most religious person, I am a Christian because I know that JESUS came and died for my sins, and so that I can have everlasting life, in a NEW, BEAUTIFUL WORLD!!! and that he is almighty, the truth, and the ONLY WAY!!

The Bible says homosexuality is an abomination, meaning God hates it. It is a sin.
The Bible also says to love the sinner, and not to judge.
So, I believe its wrong, its a sin, but I have no problem with homosexuals, have many as friends, and dont try to change them. It does not make them bad, it just means they sin, but we all do that, so its no big deal.

I believe God likes to send lots of Prophets, especially final prophets. He first sent the final prophet "jesus" but then decided on giving us another final prophet "muhammad".
Cool hu?
See, Jesus was to peaceful, so he sent warlord Muhammad who had 26 battles of war on his resume. This way, humanity would get all peaceful and such, but more violent...as this is more entertaining to God or Allah.
