Chloroplasts absorb sunlight and use it in conjunction with water and carbon dioxide gas to produce food for the plant. Chloroplasts capture light energy from the sun to produce the free energy stored in ATP and NADPH through a process called photosynthesis.

When sunlight hits the chloroplasts, chlorophyll is produced.
Chlorophyll is important for autotrophs like plants and cyanobacteria in order for them to perform photosynthesis.
- I'm not exactly sure what chlorophyll does, except that it reflects green.

Plants use Chlorophyll to turn sunlight into oxygen... sorry this about the extent of my knowledge of chlorophyll. Good luck!

it makes the grass green and when sunlight hits it it gets even greener causeing more oxygen to form
