I have been consdering joining the military for some time now. I was hoping that people here on the world wide web can offer any personal experiences wether it be male or female. Is joining the "core" worth it ? If anyone is willing to share experiences in bootcamp, "The crucible", military life etc I would be most grateful.

Marines is the best in soldiery. It is the most disiciplined fighting force as a large unit and you will become respected by people by being a Marine.

You can expect harassment from most of the males in you will be training or working with. The harassment will be sexually oriented and you will have to find ways to deal with it. You will feel demeaned and berated to tears by the training NCOs, but it is their jobs to change you from a dependent young civilian into a reacting, order taking, fighter and functioning military entity. You will find some NCOs will use your sex against you in order to manipulate you into uncompromising situations. In short, some of them will do everything possible to get you into bed, even abusing their authority to do so. Other than that, you'll have to learn team work, inner strength, determination you never thought you had, and perseverance in the face of what appears to be utter ignorance, stupidity, and insurmountable demands. This is true of both the Marine Corps and the Army. Good luck if you enlist. You'll need it. And I will salute you ever morning for having done it.

The military is also used as guinea pigs. If you do some research you will find where this is so and has been in the past.
There are instances of soldiers being forced to take vaccinations. If they refused, they were held down and given them anyways.

One soldier didn't want them, he was forced, and shortly afterwards started loosing his eyesite and hair. (do some research on what's really in our vaccines..loads of toxins)

Anyways, just my five cents worth. My late husband was never right after coming back from Desert Storm and the chemicals they used there. I'd think twice before going in. You loose your freedom when you do and they can and do force you into things you'd not do yourself.

Another thing the marines do is to brain wash you. It's a technique a lot of the military use in order to get everyone to work as a collective, not an individual. I had to do a college paper on programming techniques cults used and found that it's not only the cults that do this. Why do you think everyone's hair is cut so short? It's so they all will look alike and loose individuality. You're yelled at, beaten if necessary (depending on just how stuborn you are) and literally broken down emotionally and mentally.

First of all, it's not the CORE...it's the Marine CORPS (the p is silent). Expect a lot of PT (physical training), yelling and being yelled at, sleepless nights, and generally some of the worst physical pain you've probably ever been in. Good luck and have fun!

Marines are slean, mean fighting machines....they are trained only to kill and combat ready at all times...depending on what job you want to do and if you want to go to college while in military....air force and/ or navy maybe better for you!! These are the level of military branches...Marines(kill,kill, combat), Army(tanks, field exercises and pt), Navy(ship, sea, ship) and Air Force(desk job, fun, laid back)......all branches are great but pick the one that is best for you...good luck
