What you are asking would take a genealogist a week to track down. What I can tell you is that most of the names you listed (with the exception of Brunty which is Germanic) are considered English by today's standards.

However, be aware that the English Isles were first settled by the Druids (who came from Scandinavia), then they were overrun by the Celts as the Romans chased the Celts across Europe, then the Romans, then they left it, then the Normans (from Normandy, France) invaded in 1066, etc. The place has been raided and invaded a lot (up until 1066). William the Conqueror in 1066 was the last successful invasion of England, but there are records of thousands of invasions by the Norse during the period 350AD thru 910AD.

As for your grandfather and the American Indian heritage, start with this site http://www.accessgenealogy.com/native/tribes/index.htm
and good luck.

Talk to as many relatives that want to help make sure you get the names of cities and people that that would know more than the last!

Find out what city and state your great great prandpa lived or grew up if he moved find out, where!

Do a "family tree"research and keep a detailed journal of where you went and what you did so you won't feel frustated when you get to the point that the names start looking like, you've reasearched them before!

People in your great great grandpa's time didn't move around much, unless they went in to the military!

If he was, find out from your relatives when he entered and where he served.

That info will come in handy when you do a search of his military records!

Remember to record everything and reasearch, research!

Good luck!
