I understand what you mean. Life can be so busy to begin with, work & house & all of that, so there's not enough hours in the day to begin with. & then there's all the great things to do, places to go, opportunities to learn, family & friends to be with, because we never know when it will be over. We spend a lot of our lives sleeping! It's a necessity but it does suck when you think about all that you could do with that time. There is a Dean Koontz book, can't recall the title at this moment, & there's a situation where a back massage can give you the ability to never have to sleep again. I'm always joking about that! So no, you're not alone in your thinking! I'm right there with ya!

I am seriously the exact same way. I always feel as though something important is going to happen while i'm sleeping and i'll miss out on it. I have extremely weird sleeping habits. Like yesterday i slept until 2 in the afternoon and didn't go to bed until 9:30 this morning. I do this almost everyday and i only get a few hours of sleep a day.

I hate sleeping. I always feel like there is more I could be doing if I didnt need to sleep. I also feel like I am missing out on something (even though not alot happens at night). I also hate eating. Feels like a waste of time and i only do it to survive.

Although you hate sleeping and feel that you are missing out on your life, you are actually hurting yourself physically and mentally (when you do not get enough sleep). When the body does not get enough rest, you are depriving it from rest. This deprivation can lead to weight gain, stress, anxiety and can also slow down your response system and even affect memory. So, why you may not value sleep, sleep adds value to the lives we live while we are awake.

in my younger days - late teens to mid 30s - could get by on at least four hours of sleep at any given period/day or night
now that am into my early 50s find that rest is quite necessary not just for the physical but mental state as well ...
our bodies were made the way they were for a reason - even God made a day of rest!
He has blessed us with so much - much to be enjoyed!!
