I don't know about eating something right before bed -- I mean it is healthy, and it's an apple (especially if you leave the skin on.) And I don't think you'll gain weight either. But when I don't eat before bed, I feel super in the morning, and you don't have any intense dreams, you just sleep. I would drink a glass of water instead. Maybe a quarter of an apple before bed.

it depends- are you adding calories to your diet, maintaining calories, or lowering calories? It doesn't really matter when you eat the apple, however if you are obsessed about an apple (a healthy food with lots of nutrients) making you gain weight you may want to see a doctor to be screened for an eating disorder or disordered eating patterns. Best wishes!

Hi, in short - maybe.
Its all amount of calories in (total calories you eat) versus calories burned (how much brain and physical work you do in a day pretty much determines calories burned).
If the apple is a part of your diet - thats a good thing, high fiber, high in vitamins and minerals, very nutritious, also high in fruit sugar, I believe maltose. One of the healthier sugars as I recall.
So if its adding calories you don't need - cut something else out of your diet, or exercise a bit more - keeping the apple would be a good thing...

No. You actually burn more calories eating the apple than the apple actually has.

Nope. Apples are actually one of the few foods that takes more calories to digest than it gives you.
