AT this moment no, because I don't live in a world that would put me in that situation. If things were different and I was in a world where there was no freedom of religion or any other sort of freedom, I believe the fighting side of me would come out and I would stand up for my faith.
There needs to be motivation.....like fighting for freedom for my family and children and the future for other generations.
Right now I don't have that motivation

This is what happened to the Jews during the holocust whether they where religious or not, it is awful that people could treat any one like that.
As for the question would I?
Most Certainly, Jesus suffered worse, he was separated from God and he actually went to hell.
This body is what God has given me to do His work with, if it has do be achieved that way then Yes, I will go where Jesus sends me, Jesus will be with me.
There are many people in this situation already today as we speak they are just pastors of underground churches in places where Christianity is persecuted.
I read a book about somebody who spent ages in prison and I am so sorry that I have forgotton his name, the book was amazing his story his life, amazing.

Jehovah's Witnesses were put in the concentration camps by Hitler.
They underwent all those things mentioned and more, the amazing thing is they could have gotten out at any time by just signing a document denying their beliefs. Very few did. More witnesses came out the camps then went in. Go to the Holocaust Museum in Washington D. C. and see for yourself.

As Jesus said, "I am with you always even unto the end of the world, Amen." Matthew 28:20
Where do you think this Columbine Girl now?
Faith is a rest and that’s where God wants us so, take a rest from your labor and walk in faith.

So asking people if they believe in god after they have been critically injured tends to speed them on their way?
(The Columbine girl died quickly after...)
Well I guess it would, if you were barely hanging on and some idiot started to administer the last rites that might have an effect on your continuing the struggle to live!
What kind of a moron would even consider asking such a question to an injured person?
I guess a Christian would.
Really think about it!!!!

"There is no greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friend.” Most everyone has heard these words before, I suppose. Indeed the statement has become so familiar to us as to make it hard for us to look deeper to grasp their full meaning. If you think a moment you will soon realize the words, and I am sure most of us would agree that, should it ever come to it, we would be willing to die for our Best friend Jesus!

He already has my life and my heart...I'm already His child......I believe He would protect me, but if He didn't I pray to God I would honour Him in word and in deed until my last breath; maybe there would be a jailer like in the days of the apostle Paul who He would have me share the Gospel with before I died...it would be for a worthy cause in that case....one more person in the Kingdom!

Just the part about the torture bothers me. Some kinds of torture (we can use our imaginatgion)! - on my own strength I would say or deny anything I was told to. So I only trust that at the time God would give me supernatural grace to hold out. It would certainly be a clear proof of God's presence befcause believe me, I don't have it. I'm a natural-born coward. :)

Would you mind an answer from a non-Christian? To give my life for my religion, any day of the week, under any circumstances? Absolutely I would. Dying for one's beliefs makes one a martyr, and usually when one becomes a martyr, it strengthens the beliefs of those who also follow that same religion.

Oddly enough, I believe research has proven that those kinds of experiences mostly strengthen the beliefs that the torture was meant to eradicate.
With that said, I only pray that if I were in that position, that God would give me the strength to hold out, continue to serve him, and not revile His name just to make pain stop.
