i'll use codenames for this question. My friend john and this girl lisa. Now there's this dance thing and i was on the line with bolth of them. One on each line. So i was talking to john and he said that he wanted to go with lisa. But so did i!! So i switched lines and asked lisa if she wanted to go with him. Lisa said she wouldn't feel right, and she's feel more comfortable if she went with me. (my heart skipped!!) i switched lines again and told john and he said ok and then hung up. So now i'm talking to lisa and were not really saying anything about going together!! So should i just not say anything when i call her back in about 5 Min. Or should i ask her. Start from this, she picks up the phone and says hello what should i say!!?? I know this is confusing but i'm in a big hurray....

no one understands what i'm saying!! ( i don't blame you) it's just that i kinda dropped the idea she said "i'd kinda like to go with you" so i replied i'll call u back. not when i call her back what should i say? Should i bring it up right away and say so do u want to go with me??? She just kinda snuk it in there never 100% asked me.

say this- "so hey lisa, did i understand you right when you said
you'd feel more comfertable going to the dance w/me?
If she says "yes thats what i said" or something of that nature
then respond by saying "cool" & carry on with your conversation
not forgetting to iron out plans such as are you picking her up,
time, yada yada blah blah.

as long as you can master a couple minutes of friendly small talk, you can ask her if she was serious about going to the dance with you. The key is to be upfront and honest without being too intense. You'll do fine :)
