As a student of chiropractic i can tell you that is a very bad thing to do. I know its tempting. The very first day of school i was in my CNS class and i did that to my neck. My teacher stopped what he was doing and told me how bad that was. tell him he is only hurting himself my doing that. that is pretty annoying.

Well I feel kinda silly answering this question since I do pop my neck quite often. My friends sometimes look at me in disgust after I pop it, sometimes I feel bad that I shock them and sometimes I just laugh. Their isn't anything WRONG with me, although after popping my neck I feel less tense, and more relaxed. I believe it's a habit gone bad! There is my answer, straight from the neck popper's mouth!

I do it all the time if I don't my neck gets stiff and the muscles tighten up restricting the blood vessels supplying blood to the brain, giving me a bad headache. I get fed up with you girls constantly adjusting your bra straps and reaching around in back of you to pick the underwear out of your but cracks.

There isn't anything wrong with them per se, I have a stiff neck and enjoy cracking it as it relieves some of the pressure and stiffness, similar to cracking knuckles.
