He said that we would always be friends after we break up because we were friends once before. What has changed now? He said that it might work out in the near future but I dont want another chance. He doesnt seem like himself when he's around me, seems kinda mean and demanding, but when he's around others he seems happy. He's happy once in a while but when I notice him looking at me, he looks upset. Whats the deal?

It's obvious that he cannot be around you. If he's not happy or himself around you, then he hasn't made any contact with you because he believes he is better off without you.
In that case, move on and don't think about him. He is not worth your time if you're not worth his.

My ex called me the day after I broke up with her and we have never spoken again. That was over eight years ago, and I know we will never speak again, but not because I believe either of us regretted spending 2+ years with each other, but just because we moved on and it was much healthier that way. When we kept talking we would end up back togther again even though we both knew it wasnt going to work and it just kept getting worse and worse each time...I am sure girls want to think that they will be friends and all that warm and fuzzy stuff, but guys dont stick around unless they arent attracted to you or they think that staying around your life will get them back with you. So when a guy says you will still be friends, its because he is lying to you most likely and doesnt really want to think about what you have ending, so he gives the politically correct answer. If a woman asked me that, I would say, no we probably wont be friends...hey at least its honest.

One lesson I've learned in life is we all seem to say "we'll always be friends" when breaking up, that's a line that makes everyone feel better that's all it is, a line.

He's not over you yet. Seeing you taking it easy and acting normal upsets him cause he feels you have gotten over it while he hasnt. Seeing you constantly is a reminder of what could have been....
