That stinks, get her fixed or venture out and buy some doggie diapers(yes, they really do make those) Check your local pet store. It's every 6 months for about a week at a time.

there's nothing you can do other than get diapers and keep her away from males so she doesn't get pregnant.
as for having her spayed??
it can still be done. and should be done as soon as possible.
i know this is way more info than you asked for but since i found it i thought this would be the right place to post it. lol.
A standard season runs for approximately 21 days. The season may be preceded by a slight swelling of the dog's vulva. The season begins with a bright or dark red discharge from the dog's vulva. The discharge initially may be no more than a drop. Many females keep themselves very clean, and there may be no visible blood around the vulvar area. As the season progresses through the first week or so, the discharge generally increases and then decreases in volume and color. The vulva can be very enlarged and turgid during the first week, and then begins to soften.
Some dogs may have a very heavy discharge and swelling; others may show lesser signs. Again, diligence in monitoring all dogs as individuals is required. After being in-season for approximately seven to ten days, the amount and color of the discharge will lighten. The swelling will also lessen.
In some dogs the reduction of swelling and discharge may be so significant that the dog appears to be out of season. This is not the case. The dog is actually entering her most fertile period when a male can inseminate her! Extra caution is needed. It is also important to note that sperm can be viable and capable of impregnating an estrus female dog for as long as 7 days following a single mating. Therefore, one inattentive moment can lead to an unwanted pregnancy.
As the days pass and the swelling and discharge continue to lighten, the dog is still breedable. Some dogs are capable of conceiving beyond the twentieth day of season. Raisers must continually be cautious for at least 28 days, and not lessening the
required supervision until released by their leader.
Sometimes a female may go through what is known as a “silent heat.” This is when the usual physical signs of the heat cycle, the swelling and the bleeding, are not present. You may still see ehavioral changes, including an increased interest from or with other dogs.

At this point, there is nothing you can do for her but follow around with a mop and a bucket. Doggie diapers are easily chewed off or removed, so don't waste your money. The bleeding will fade away after about 2 weeks, and hopefully your dog will be fairly good about keeping herself clean. If not, you'll have to wipe her 2 or 3 times daily. Get yourself an enzyme based stain remover to get the bloodstains out of any carpets or fabric furniture.
Oh, and please keep her indoors and away from other dogs!!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://tinyurl.im/E9Js5
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Don't panic! It's perfectly normal! There's nothing you can do about it. Other than trying to keep her away from your upholstery and be careful when/if you let her out, because the smell goes for miles and WILL attract dogs to her. If you don't want to breed her, keep on the watch. The heat should last for about 2 weeks. She might get a little nervous or "touchy" while she is in heat, is normal too, because of the hormones.

If you don't want puppies, keep her away from all male dogs. She will probably bleed for about a week, they sell pads for dogs a any local pet supply store, they are kinda like a little diaper. I would suggest that you get some if you don't want her to bleed all over your rugs and furniture.

It is usually 1-3 weeks, once or twice a year. If your dog has not been spayed she will go into heat and send out a scent attracting male dogs from miles around to try and mate. If it is not successful it will most likey display frustrated behavior.
sounds weird but its true.

Make sure she is isolated from other males, as she is "ripe and ready" -- They last up to 2 weeks, from what I know.
I reccomend a doggy diaper... you can buy small, thin unscented panty liners (designed for human women) to put into the doggy diaper - as the dog ones are more expensive and do the same thing. Make sure you change the pad regularly to avoid urinary tract infections and check regularly whether or not she has peed in the diaper. If she has peed in it, wash it/dry it before putting back on her.

It will only last a few days depending on the breed. It's best to let her go into heat at least once before spaying from what my vet tells me. I'm still waiting on my dachshund (she's 9 months old). Just be sure to keep her away from any males and don't let her outside unattended. You'd be amazed at how many males will wind up in your yard. Good Luck!

Yes they do. Never heard of a ***** in heat. That's their period: it swells up and starts bleeding. But I don't think its every month. A male dog might start riding your leg, it that's the case: wet stuff might come out.
