well first of all i dont think that 130 for 13 is over weight. Alot of my friends are 12 and they weigh about 120+. But then again what do i know. i weigh 100. well im sure that alot of your weight must be muscle, but if you honestly want to lose weight then i suggest joining a school sport with your friends. That way you will be playing a sport (which is super fun) and you will be with ur friends. If that doesnt work then how about layin off all fattening foods for about a week. If you could get into the habit that would be best. If you can, try out for the swim team...if you have it, and that way you will be gaining muscle. right now my goal is to get flat abs. If you really put your mind to it then you can REALLY do it!! OK this sounds rreeeaaallllyyyy dorky, BUT IT WORKS....On a saturday or sunday when you have absoulutly NOTHING to do, put on some sweats and turn on the tv and go to the fitness channel or a channel that has one of those workout videos, and just follow those leaders. well i hope my advise helps you. Good Luck!!!!!

You can lose it, but it will take 6 weeks.
But first, why are you fat?
The body stores as fat the excess food which it cannot work off through exercise. So the more you exercise, at some point you will stop storing fat and maybe you will start burning some you already have. And the less you eat, at some point you will stop storing more fat and begin to burn that which you already have. And if you exercise and eat less, wow, you are really going to start losing the fat you already have.
The following is true but it will hurt.
You need to cut down on food. Try not drinking sodas. Stop eating between meals. Eat less fried food.
But your real ace in the hole is exercise.
Sorry, exercise is less comfortable than sitting on the sofa eating a pecan pie.
And to work properly, exercise must become an addiction. This means you have to do it at least 3 times a week.
What should you do? The minimum is to raise your heart rate from normal to 140-165 for a minimum of 20 minutes, three times a week. Do this by slowly jogging. Or ride a bike. Or swim. Walking won´t do it for you, despite some people´s opinions to the contrary - it just does not raise the heart rate enough over the 20 minutes.
This is the minimum. Any less and you will not see results.
But if you are tough with yourself, and like to see results, do this 4 times a week for two weeks and then scale up to 6 times a week. I would like to see you after six weeks of doing this!
You can do this - because everything you need to do is within your control. You can run, you can bike and I guess you can swim. And you can stop eating the stuff that makes us fat. So get out there - you have six weeks. Looking as good as you can is your birthrate, so get there!

Losing weight is tough. Doing it in such a short time frame is even harder. Look at your weight lost as a long term goal. Weight is always harder to come off at the begininng as your body is 'stuck in a rut', but as you progress, it's gets easier to maintain.
He's what I would do.
1. Eat less but more healthily each meal (you will feel hungry at the beginning, but as you go along, your stomach will shrink and it will take less to fill it, thereby you would automatically eat less in the future.
2. Each more often. Instead of 3 meals, try six small meals. This should give you enough nourishment for you increased activity.
3. Exercise, exercise, exercise. Play sports and do some weight training. Whether boy or girl. This helps tremendously.
4. Ask your parents and friends to help out. Tell them what you are trying to do and asked them to stop you from eating "junk foods" and to remind you to exercise.
5. Get a friend to do this along with you. It's easier when someone is with you all the way.
6. Keep at it. Don't give up. Set yourself realistic targets and action plans and stick to them.
The base of all weight loss is losing more calories than you are eating them. Never starve yourself as you body will take drastic action and lower your metabolism (rate at chich your body burns fuel), thus when you eat, it is harder for you to loss weight.
• Exercise burns alot of energy
• Weight training increases your body mass and increases metabolism
• Eating less and more often keeps your body nourished and reduces stomach size.
But the most important part of any weight loss is that you are doing for yourself and not for other people. It doesn't really matter what other people say or do, it's your body. It's your life.
Lose weight because you want to be healthy not because some idiot is picking on you. As you grow up, you will realise, once an idiot, always and idiot. Your don't owe them anything. You can do whatever you set your mind to it.
Go fot it. Lose that weight!

1) Why 6 weeks? What's so important at 6 weeks? Also, why do you need to lose weight? You have nothing to prove to them, only to yourself.
2) Try running. You also may be taking the wrong attitude--pay more attention to the pant size than the scale.
3) STICK WITH IT--run, do pilates, do SOMETHING every night and don't expect anything to come quickly.
4) Be realistic--you don't need to lose 15 pounds to look beautiful. You already are.
5) About food--eat in moderation. You are FAR TOO YOUNG to worry about counting calories. Just eat in moderation, eat fruits and veggies, and drink a lot of water. Don't take away your favorite foods because they are too fatty; learn how to be satisfied with a bite or two instead of the whole thing.

What doc's don't tell you is that there is such a thing as big boned. HONESTLY. I had the same problem that you are dealing with when I was your age. As long as you are eating right and excersizing you should be fine. Also you could grow out of it so I wouldn't worry to much about it. Just ignore them ( i know its hard to but you learn). Don't go to extremes. Msg me if you want to and I can give you some tips on how to "buff up" Oh yea I'm 22 now and very very proud of my body.

It seems good just make sure you don't get too hungry. If you feel tired and hungry all the time, chances are you're not on a very good diet. And trying exercise at least 3 times a week but make sure you give yourself a break if your muscles start feeling sore.

At 13 you shouldn't worry. You didn't say how tall or active you are. That is a major roll. Please check with your parent and/or doctor please. Remember as well you are beautiful, no matter what.
If you are going to do this no matter what. take advantage of sports like track or volleyball even if your not good at it, you still the extra workout with an adult near by. Also, stay away from junk food, pop/soda, fast food, no white bread (includes enriched flour).
Please, life is short and being 13 is even shorter, enjoy your friends, boys, going out and having fun
