My parents are against all drugs, smoking etc. But, as far as I know, hookah isn't bad for me. I'm also Indian, so maybe I could say I'm going cultural? =)

Any kind of smoking is bad for for you, even if it's herbal cigarettes, so you can't play that card. However, hookahs are beyond cool, but they're more Middle Eastern than Indian, but some of them are very beautiful (as are some bongs and pipes) so maybe you could convince them to get you one as an ornament?

hahahahaha. Well first off, you are smoking when you use a hookah and smoking= bad.
good luck man. I wish my mom would buy me a hookah.... your best bet is your cultural idea.
