I recently read an article where it stated that relationships between White men and Asian/Latin women are on average the most successful interracial couplings when taken in to account how long they last and opinion survey's from the couples themselves. I know these things aren't 100% accurate all the time, but I'm white and have been intrested in dating an Asian or Latin women for some time now, but have always thought that at the end of they don't work out. So this article really made me think and gave me reason to believe it can work. In the article it even said that these relationships are now lasting longer then relationships between white men and women! So the question is really to white guys who've been in these sorts of relationships, what have been your expierence? Do you think it can work?

=I am a female but I feel I can answer this question. I personally now 6 couple of this mix who have been happily married for a awhile. Yes they get looks from folks that do not know them but to those that do they represent the perfect couple. I think it has to do with the woman's culture and upbringing vs women in the US. They haven't become "americanized" so to speak and are at peace stayng at home and taking care of their husband and children. Good luck

The only way to find if a relationship is going to work is to find that person and get into a relationship with them. Your not going to learn anything from an article on a subjective topic like interracial dating. Now that being said I dated both latina and asian women starting back about 4 or 5 years ago and I have not dated outside those races since. Safe to say I've been happy maybe you'll feel the same way.

..hmm.. Certain races may have their cultural predispositions that seeming allow them to fit better within a relationship of a different race. Off the topic however right on point: I believe that when it comes right down to it, regardless of what the numbers say, it takes honest hard work period in making a relationship work. More specifically, human sacrifice, which is lacking enormously in todays relationships. I'm not talking about extreme concepts like giving up one's life for someone. Just look at the divorce rate in this country. What does that say? Win/Lose mentality.

Successful relationships require understanding, mutual respect, fidelity, trust and faith in each other, minor sacrifices if you may and acknowledging the importance of role playing.

Love is a necessary commodity; you must not consume all of it. Save it for rainy days.

If you have all these, trust me as I've been married for 19 years, the relationship will transcend all barriers; racial, cultural, class and intellectual.

I can not speak about Latinas but Asian women and white guys are attractive to one another - meaning an average looking white guy is really handsome to an asian women and reverse. Also - Asian women liek to clean, cook and take care of their men (they wash them, make them happy) and white guys obvioisly like this behavior. White guys provide leadership, responsibility and loyalty to their spouses that Asian women can't find in Asian men who are notorious cheaters. I know many white guys who have Asian wives and they are pretty happy together - however most of these guys found their asian wives in mid-life after a divorce from white wife.

I can't speak for everyone, but my husband is white and we're happily married and doing great. Everyone is different though, so it's more a question of whether two people love each other and have what it takes to have a successful relationship.

it really doesn't matter what ethnicity you are in...it depends upon the individuals / lovers...we have preferences...i'm an asian and i had an aussie bf...it was a long distance relationship and it lasted for a year coz he said, my efforts kept us together...but he has other needs and i understand that...heartbreaking? yes, but that's life...

every relationship has flaws...what matters is that you are both willing to nurture the relationship...i have learned that it can never be one sided...so, for you...try to find it out for yourself...take a chance, life is full of risk anyhow...at least you will get to know if it is real...

All relationships will work if you truly love each other, and are willing to work at keeping the relationship alive, and it doesn't matter if it is with an asian, latin, caucasian, chinese, janpanese, etc.
