I dunno. Why do some people start speaking tongues and jumping up and down like a turkey with down syndrome getting buttsex from a rabid squirrel? Simple, they're just getting a little overemotional over a work of fiction. It's okay though, I cried during Where the Red Fern Grows, another great fictional work. Ah, good times.

Okay, I'm an atheist and I find that behavior as freaky as the next person does. But think about it...if you really believed that some great power took the time to single you out and fill you with its spirit, you'd probably have a pretty strong reaction, right?

My guess would be it's a life transition. Just as one would cry at a birth of a child, a wedding, or a funeral. When an impact involves someone with great significance, you will very something emotional inside you.

It's called tears of joy. It's the same reason why some people cry at weddings and some parents cry when they see their new child for the first time.

I think it depends on what god does when he "enters." If you have lived a righteous loving. life... you may feel joy.... if you have alot of things to be ashamed of, God will quicken you and you will feel remorse for sins...Being in the presence of God should be a joyful experience....if we live good lives, then we have this to look forward to.

because when you feel the spirit enter you it's unlike anything that's ever entered you, or you entered before. It's like, well, god actually and when god enters you, it's like he's examining your inner being--he likes to call it your entrance exam.

Because they are touched so deeply that they can't respond calmly...it is like no other event to ever happen to them...they are overjoyed and also humbled...

It is the way their particular emotions reacted, not everyone reacts that way. Why don't you let him enter you, so then you can find out if you will cry?

If your speaking about my GOD, JESUS, yes it happens many times'
sometimes its a feeling of over whelming joy, other over His unconditional love, It also happens to many at the point of conversion, the baptism of His Spirit, and so on.
millions have experienced this.
This is all about EXPERIENCING the presents of the LIVING GOD!!! Christianity is all about a relationship with a Real God (Jesus) we speak to Him and He speaks to us;
Now how many other so called gods can you experience that!
How about YOU, have you drank from the well of living waters?
