Wrong! You are not being punished for their choice to sin against God, you will be punished for your choice to sin against God..
Good news, there is a way out of punishment.....Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, all you need to do is accept Him as you Savior and Lord!
Today is a good day to do that, just pray now and ask Jesus to come into your heart and cleanse you of YOUR sins.

No, God does not like us to suffer ... though if we didn't have any suffering then we wouldn't develop strong character either.
God was grieved with Adam & Eve sinning; He found a way of Atonement so we will not suffer eternally because of their sin. Their sin does explain why death came upon the whole creation; but it is our own sins that we should be more concerned about. (If we say we do not sin ....).
If it wasn't for the Judeo-Christian Faith you wouldn't know what happened; you wouldn't know why everyone and everything dies.
He has provided a way for us to share in His Heaven, His utopia, for ever and ever ... when there will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. When even death shall be swallowed up in victory.
Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Adam's sin is also our sin. The specific act of sin was not what condemned them it was the state of Sin in which they chose to do it. This state is when one does something either not in accordance with God's command or as a rejection of God's command. Adam did not focus and obey the word of the Lord and so He sinned. Everyone is guilty of this.
We are conceived in sin for from the time we are manifested we consistently choose to do our own will regardless of whether it is complacent with God's or not, we choose to do things because they are in our favor, whether for emotional, physical, or material satisfaction.
Jesus alone was sinless because not once did He go against God's command or desires.
Philippians 2:8
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!
Because He is God
Philippians 2
5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped

When GOD Told Adam "Cursed is the Ground" HE was Making a Statement, not Cursing it.
Adam let Darkness into the Creation and Kicked GOD (Personally) out of the Creation.
Adam Blew It for All of us, and Yes, we are Still Messing it up too.

That story is purely symbolic, it's supposed to speak of free will and how we abuse it. The bible has it's historical value, but I'd distrust anything from Genesis, I distrust everything I just haven't found anything I'd consider historically accurate in Genesis.

Because you choose to sin. If everyone would stop sinning then it would be like we were in the Garden of Eden. But we can't stop sinning. So you see, we need a Messiah. Yeshua (Jesus) come quickly...

If God were as childish and immature as the story suggests, he would find all kinds of silly things to punish you for.

The point is this: God gave Adam and Eve, what is known as, free will. We all have the same. We can choose good or we can choose evil.
