Why would you want to be taller? That is pretty tall compared to a person of my height (5'2) and I am 22.
To answer your question the only way you can get taller is to go to Japan or China (One of the 2). I saw a documentary on how they put these metal things in your knees and they have to stretch them to make you taller. It is a very painful process but most the girls were 5'0 or shorter. If i find a link about it I will send it to you although I seriously doubt you would have it done.
Other than that a person is either short or tall, and there is nothing you can do about it.
*Additional* I looked up some sites and a lot of the sites said China has baned leg lengthening. But there are places that still do this procedure.

Try yoga or other ways of stretching the spine. Standing up straight will make a big difference (don't slouch when sitting either).
Eat plenty of calcium and other nutrients so you don't get shorter over the years due to osteoperosis. Others have said not to drink soda...I would have to agree since it actually robs calcium straight from the bones. Some sodas are worse than others though I think so you don't have to cut them out completely.
There's also ways of dressing to appear taller. Vertical striped pants or shirts and for women high heels and/or pointed toed shoes (although I find them uncomfortable). Hehe, you can also try spiking your hair up to gain that extra inch.
Other than that, there's not a whole lot you can do. Most of it has to do with genetics.

well you can't really decide that but don't drink soda and don't lift to heavy wieghts and drink milk that will help a bit soda makes you grow slower. I'm 13 and im 5'3" so I should be as tall as you when im 16 most likey I drink alot of soda..so yea.

You can control your weight, but you can't control your height.
Wear platforms or deal with it. You're only 16--you still have time to grow.
