I don't think I would say anything to my doctor about this but I definitely would talk to my dentist. A dentist should be able to help you with this.

Open your mouth and say "Hi"

If you really do have bad breath, chances are he noticed so you might as well ask what to do about it.

Bad breath, or halotosis, isn't always a problem that can be solved by just brushing your teeth regularly. It can originate deeper inside your body and can be indications of other conditions. Some people just naturally have bad breath though and sometimes there are over the counter suppliments for this.

Don't be embarassed- this is probably one of the most mild things a doctor hears about. Just tell your doctor you notice that your breath tends to have a foul odor and you're not quite sure why.

(I'm assuming you've already tried the whole brushing your tongue really well and mouthwash thing. And this must not be only sometimes such as when you're hungry if you're concerned enough to go to the doctor about it.)

It could just be a disgestive issue.

Don't be embarrassed to ask him. It's a condition and the embarrassment would be to ignore it have everyone else notice. There are lots of reasons that can't be cured by simply brushing like sinus infections, gum disease, and one that I recently discovered and had never heard of...tonsil stones. So ask your doctor and find out the reason and then the problem and embarrassment will go away.

Try taking care of it first with a tongue scrapper that you can buy. You may need to brush more regularly. Don't be embarrassed to tell your doctor or dentist anything. Most have heard & seen it all & are glad to share their expertise with you.

it is ok. my sister had this problem and my doctor said that it is cause your body produces these enzymes that make your breath stink. he proscribed 25 miligrams of zantac. take one a day, you should also ask your doctor though. even if it is embarrassing, doctors have heard weirder things. he wont think it is weird, he has heard weirder things.

Not to funny but very educational. If you want to give up smoking chew garlic cloves. It works but the downside is everyone thinks your French....

Don't worry about it, he has heard it many times before. Ask him to check to see if you have stomach trouble. Good luck.
