Shame on you both for talking to some minister instead of each other, but seriously, it's really hard for men and women to be just friends... I've never had a lasting friendship with a woman that didn't turn into something else, bad or good...

You did the right thing... The last thing you want is a guy with a horrible temper around you and your daughter. If this guy has personal issues that he needs to fix, it probably best that you keep away from him.

ideidre: Oftentimes, good intentions lead incorrect judgements. This sounds like one of those times. Your Singles Ministry Pastor
was not exercising wise judgement by letting the proverbial "cat" out of the bag, regarding him telling both of you what the other person said. Like a lot of groups in society i.e. dating clubs, church groups, community club groups, to name a few, they tend to attract people, who for the sole purpose of "getting a mate or girl friend", become "members" of that particular group. In a church setting, members tend to be very tolerant of these types of people, who you described, above. This guy who is a "hot head" needs to grow up and quit stalking you. You are right for keeping space with this guy - believe me. He is on the hunt for a "gal", has issues and is hiding within the church to avoid dealing with his problems. Continue to STEER CLEAR of this one ! Your Singles Group minister owes you an apology for "blabbling", (he may think that getting you married off is his goal for you.) Never allow anyone to choose your future for you ! It is YOUR future; therefore, YOUR choice. Remember; God is LOVE and love offers you a CHOICE ! I am a Christian, myself and seen these types of kooks before ! Love him from a DISTANCE !!! Good luck to you deidre !

Try to talk to him and resolve this, if you can...if he won't speak to you or won't forgive then let it go...
...and I wouldn't take the "singles minister" into my confidence anymore if I were you...he sounds more like a gossip than a counselor...

What you did was right..you were just watching out for your daughter right. my suggestion is to talk to him calmly and explain everything, if he takes to it nicely then there you go but if he doesnt then hes not worth worrying about.
Hope I Helped :)

Yes. You might not agree, but you can get over it and still be friends.
