from the catechism of the Catholic church.... (paraphrase & notes)
we are stewards of our bodies/life, not owners, it's God's desing not ours to dispose of it.
it is contrary to just love of self
suicide that is committed with setting an example or "stand" against God is wrong.
"Grave psylogical disturbances, anguish, or grave fear of hardship, suffering, or torture can diminish responsibility of the one committing suicide.
We should not despair of the eternal salvation of persons who have taken their own lives. By ways know to Him alone, God can provide the opportunity for salutary repentance.

basically.... someone committing suicide for reasons other then disclaiming God who IS a Christian (having accepted JEsus Christ and all He represents) is not mentally liable as they are not in their right mind.

I pray you are not contemplating or know someone who is. life may be hard but death is not asn easy way out. if there is anything I can do, please do not hesitate to ask.

God bless you!!!

Suicide is one of the saddess things that a person can do. I think the so called believer is so distraught that they forget about the one commandment . Thou Shalt Not Kill ! That means ourselves. When a Believer commits suicide it is such a horrible tradgedy for the family left behind. If the victum would only realize that the children and family is devastated and will live with the tradgedy for the rest of their lives. Not only does their life end in a non-Christian way, but it ends the families happiness until the grave claims them. Then again I think of the verse that says God is a Forgiving God. If you ask for Forgiveness , God will forgive. But when a person commits suicide, they can not ask for Forgiveness. From My Religious entire up-bringing, I have to say NO. Thou Shalt not Kill. You can not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, when you kill !! Here is my other answer. When a sad person commits suicide, they are at the lowest point of their lives. So low that , when they are alone, they feel nothing , not even God. The mind is so down and out that they want to end it all. I firmly believe that God has pity on these sad low individuals. But then again it is a battle between God and satan. When a person chooses to go to satan, there is nothing God can do. It is our own choice. If everyone could see the face expressions of a person who has commited suicide, they would be able to see the horrible anguish on the face. Eyes wide open in a dreadful stare. They appear to have just seen satan, face to face. It is not a pretty sight. So as a Christian, I fimly believe that this person has been lost to satan. With Much Saddness !

Yes. I believe that with all my heart. Committing suicide is a sin equal to that is all the other sins. So it is the same as saying if I die while using God's name in vain will I go to heaven. I bet there are alot of people saying "Oh my God" just before dieing. As long as Jesus is your personal savior, yes. Your sins are forgiven. This is what I believe after searching for the answer and praying about it, this is what I believe to be true.

Committing suicide is considered a sin, and the only sin you will be judged on is unconfessed sin. So if a person commits suicide and does not have the chance to ask for forgiveness. Technically that would be murder and God states that no liars, murders, adulterers shall enter the kingdom of heaven.

no because you are still taking away your life which is a gift from god and he considers you to be a hypocrite because you say you believe in christ but then you commit a sin that god and even christ himself find to be offensive besides a real believer wouldn't commit suicide

Yes...Samson committed suicide and is mentioned in the hall of faith in Hebrews chapter 11..our eternal security is not dependent on our actions, it's dependent upon what Jesus already did on Calvary when He died for our sins. When He gives us ETERNAL life, just HOW LONG IS THAT? people that believe you can lose your salvation are often prone to mental breakdowns....if you can't trust God, who can you trust? He cannot lie according to Titus!

You don't know someone who's thinking about doing this do you? Please email me if you'd like to talk. God bless you!

I can't say from reading it in the Bible yet, I'm still working on reading the whole thing. However, if you commit a sin, you have to repent before you can be forgiven. Now...if you commit suicide and that is a sin in itself, then there is no way to repent for it.
So, my answer would be--no, you wouldn't get into heaven!!

Maybe; but fear of hell has deterred many people from suicide, keeping them alive for a better day. Depression does not last forever, and it is hard for me to repudiate anything that prevents suicide. Maybe the fear of hell was part of the depression, and if so, it was a beneficial part....
