Limewire is a peer-to-peer network used to share music and videos and whatever suitable media through the internet. It will not cost you a penny but you should know that there is no "free" music anywhere unless you make it yourself. Most stuff downloaded through the lime is illegal and free only to the point you get caught. Not very likely, though. The bottom line is, it is stealing. On the other hand, so is charging 20 bucks for a CD and giving only a buck or two to the artist... Go figure.

It's what's called a P2P program. Pretty much people upload songs from cd's or websites they've found and then make them available for anyone that wants to download them. It is entirely free. BUT it is illegal. Not to mention people sometimes upload viruses and label them as songs. Just make sure if you decide to start using it pay attention to the file extension (like if you're downloading a song, but it says *.exe STOP THE DOWNLOAD) Also pay attention to the file size. If it seems kinda' large to be a song, just skip over it and find something else.

Limewire is a good choice if you're planning on getting a P2P program, it doesn't have the adware/spyware like bearshare and some others.

It's a peer-to-peer sharing program. So the files you want to share are put on a share file and same as other people who have lime wire. You can download anything that is in the share folder..people use it to download music, movies, programs, documents, pictures and etc...you can find almost anything you want..plus it's free just go to limewire.com and download the basic. As soon as you get it and install it type in limewire pro in your limewire and download it. So you get he basic and download the pro that cost you 30-40 bucks for free!! =) MG

Limewire is a file sharing web site. Once registered you can download almost any music, video, and some bad quality movies(BOOTLEG).They don't charge anything unless you want Limewire Pro. $19.99 Fee. I got the pro and it is not much faster than regular Limewire.Make sure if you get it you have your virus protection up to date.

it's a file sharing program for amateurs.

the software is both free and legal, but using it to download music, movies, games, and programs is NOT legal.

only things like itunes, napster and so on are legal to download from because you have to pay for what you download.

yes it is free, lots of music..

I am not sure if it is really legal or not ... I don't know if they are paying any one for the music I mean it is sharing files ...

it is easy and it is fun

it's a way to get all kinds of viruses and spyware onto your computer without paying any money (oh, and for a brief period you might get to hear some free music, too, before your PC dies)
