I want to take out a closet in one bedroom to make the bathroom bigger. Is this smart or do closets help sell a house more than a larger bathroom?

To sell the house with the bedroom as a bedroom it must have a closet. A large bathroomis nice, but for resale value...not a great idea to steal the closet if it's the only one in that room. Is there somewhere else that you could steal the space from? If not - when you redo the bathroom keep the upgrades exactly that - upgrades. Do everything in a neutral and use accent colors in the towels, throw rugs, and curtains. That way a potential buyer can imagine their things in that bathrooma nd they aren't thinking about how they have to update it.

Don't have a bedroom without a closet....in fact a bedroom without a closet is not a bedroom--it is a den.

If you can expand the bath but add a closet along the way then maybe it is a possiblity.

Good luck!

That's definatley a tough one, I believe having a larger closet will do lots, but it all depends on howbig your bathroom is, I mean is it tiny, or is it mid sized. You might just want to find a median somewhere, Hope that helps, tough question :)
