I don't know if this person in my class is a boy or girl. How do I find out? Do I just ask what their gender is?

I think I'm going to ask them "Are you a boy or are you a girl?"

Sorry, I don't get it. Guess you can't tell by there name. Why don't you follow them to the rest room and see which one they go into.

Well, they might find it offensive because you couldn't tell the difference. You might think of a different way to get to it. Like "How many boys and girls are in your family?" THey might answer with "there are two girls and three boys, including myself" at least thats how i hope this person answers. If not, keep probing, or look em up in the yearbook. THeir name might also be helpful, usually you can tell with that, unless its like taylor or leslie or something, then i dont know what to say.
BUt boobs aren't always a give away, i've seen some pretty big "manboobs", so watch out for that.

First of all your curiosity can get you in trouble if you do this wrong. Why is it important? If it's a girl you will feel free to hit on her?

While....at a glance....it is sometimes hard to tell this of some people. However if you look closely you should be able to tell. Boys and girls do not carry themselves the same.
While not guaranteed breasts are a sure give away. Yea! I know some guys have them but there is a difference.
Their voice is another way. If he/she is quit young it may be hard to tell the difference. Wait a few years.

Mostly it should not be that important as to their sex. If you can't tell who cares?

Ask him/her their shoe size...

If they are a boy they will say 8 if they are a girl they will say 10

Boys shoes are about two sizes smaller than girls. I wear a 9 but if I were to buy a mans shoe I would buy a 7. Get it...You can think of a way to start a shoe conversation and then go for it! I want to know the answer on your comments when you find out... Good Luck!

It is really none of your business what its gender is. Just leave it alone, or if you are so curious just kindoff figure it out by its name or something. If you ask anyone that, they will be very hurt and you dont need that on your conscience. Someone probably asked this person this already and probably feel subconscious about him/herslf. Try and become their friend without wondering about their gender and them maybe it will be revealed to you in time.

I don't see why that matters to you...kinda sounds like gossip of sorts. The person would be very open with their gender if they wanted their gender to be known.

Just leave it alone - or better yet - extend your hand in friendship. That may be the most noble thing you've done.

It would be very rude of you to ask this person. Really it is none of your business and the best thing you can do is decide whether or not you like them as a person. If you do then be friendly otherwise leave them alone.

Sure why not. It never hurts to ask.

Hey now you can't always go by the breasts or names: some guys have breasts and female names.
There is a guy that comes into my shop all the time he has "man boobs" his name is morgan. he has really long hair. So sometimes you can't go by the looks and names. So I say YES ask them.

No, that's mean. This may sound wrong to you but if they have breasts then it is of course a girl, if not then they are a boy. Ask somebody you trust what they think.

why? it none of your business but if you just have to know, follow them for the day and see what bathroom they go to and another thing, i bet you if you spend more time wondering about class work, your grades would improve.
