This is how you can get the dye out of your hair.
It works!! :)
1. Purchase some Tide laundry detergent.
2. Use a small amount of detergent and wash your hair with the detergent.
3. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Repeat, if necessary.
Tips:
Tide is the best detergent, but any detergent should accomplish this.
Warnings:
Make certain that the Tide does not contain bleach.
This will only work if you wash within 24 hours of the color application.
Things You'll Need:
Tide laundry detergent

Lighter hair soaks up color. Usually the type that you sont want to keep for some reason.
Try washing your hair everday with a clarifying shampoo. OR you can do what they call a bleach wash. Mix some bleach from the beauty supply with your shampoo. Leave it in for a few minutes. You can keep doing that until the rest washes out. Just dont leave it in too long. It is better to rinse then do it again. Be sure to use a good conditioner afterwards too.

It's not recommended for light hair because it bonds to light hair more than dark hair. You can ask your hair stylist to strip the color out. I'm sure it will continue to fade, but it will leave a mild stain. I've used Tide in the past to dampen hair color. I know it sounds weird but Tide really works well...and the product company told me to do it on the hotline.
Call the company and ask. They are usually very helpful.
I went to their website here is the contact info:

the reason it's not recomended for lighter hair is that it bonds more completely. I think you may have to strip and re-dye or let it grow out.
