George Washington's great grandparents were
John Washington and Ann Pope.
There are several lines descending from this couple. Descended from George Washington's aunty Mildred is one General George Smith Patton Jr. - WWII (the big one).
George Washington had a great grand-uncle named Richard.
Descended from Richard is one Keanu Charles Reeves.
From the same Richard you can also find one Quincy Delightt
Jones Jr.
From George Washington's great grand-uncle John you will find
the descendant by the name of Lee Marvin
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL
John Washington (m. Ann Pope) great grandparents were
Robert Washington and Elizabeth Light. They had two sons;
Lawrence -from whom all the above are descended, and
Walter. What follows is some of what Walter and his wife, Alice Murden, created.
Lloyd Bridges (actor) uttered the line "Roger Roger" in the movie Airplane
Lymon Frank Baum (writer) The Wizard of Oz
Elizabeth Clift Bacon (married George Armstrong Custer)
James Abram Garfield (20th President of the U.S. of A.)
Dick Van Patten (actor) Eight is Enough
Edward Bridge Dansen III (actor) Cheers

Is any one alive today related to George Washington?
I know George Washington had no children, but are there any Washingtons today who are descendants of the Washington family?

Yes, in the great blizzard of '78, I was marooned at a neighbor's a couple miles from me, after getting my dad's truck stuck in a 10' drift, trying to get hay for some cattle.
The neighbors were Lincoln & Lois Booth. She has taught Sunday School forever, it seems. Taught me 45-50 years ago. Linc was the volunteer fireman's chief, just well liked, respected, completely honest, & one of the nicest people I'll ever know.
He said that while I was stuck there, he had something he wanted to show me. It was a sword, an OLD sword. He showed me the initials, GW. Yeah, so , I said. Well, he had it handed down, generation after generation from George Washington because he was in a direct line from him. That was well before antique's roadshow and I had no idea it was worth what it must be, beyond a great story. I would never have repeated the story, because of the uniqueness of the sword and therefore the danger they would be in from thievery.
However, Lincoln has passed away. He has two children, and many grandchildren. Although the family isn't rich, being the way they are, they once again, thought of others before themselves, and gave the sword to the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.
I always heard stories about George Washington, some good, some not so good. But, if he was anything at all like Lincoln Booth, I see why he was so revered. They just don't get any better than that.
His wife got cancer, but still cooks the church dinners and teaches Sunday School.
They had canoes to take scouts on the rivers. Not the Delaware, for we live in Indiana.
I just wish I had that day over again, and looked more closely at that sword, and listened more closely to his stories. Once in a lifetime opportunity.
I do genealogy now. . .

No one. He wouldn't know what to do. In fact, I learned in my Government class in high school that George Washington was basically not knowing what he was doing. I'm not saying that in a bad way. He was the FIRST President, which means things did NOT go well. If I put you in charge of something that has never existed before, would you be perfect at it? NO! No one would! So this is a funny question. And obviously it doesn't matter. Maybe if you said Lincoln. But not GW, since he was the first and nothing was really established of expectations. AND it was a completely different world back then. So I'm sure he wouldn't vote for anyone because of our laws and other things related to this day and age.

Monuments and memorials, contemporary neighbourhoods, correct regional flavor it's this that Washington, DC is; a place unlike any other; just like this page hotelbye . Washington it's your property away from home with free museums and America's entrance yard. Washington is acknowledged all over the world as a mark of the United States. Here, the area you can't skip may be the Capitol. Capitol may be the seat of the House of Representatives and the Senate. The huge dome, based on the dome of St. Peter's in Rome, sticks out most importantly different Washington buildings. Like Washington itself, the making has grown over time because the key part was built between 1793 and 1812. The past improvement, in 1958-62, increased the main façade where presidents take the oath. On one other area, a marble terrace offers beautiful opinions within the mall and the city. The inside is resplendent with frescoes, reliefs, and paintings, especially the rotunda under the good cast-iron dome with a threshold painting by Constantino Brumidi and huge paintings of views from American history on the walls.

mccain..more to relate to. but more likely he would be appalled at both candidates and how they fund their lifestyles and campaigns. He would vote for RON PAUL! =) or rally another person into running for president because he believes he/she would do an honest country first job. kathleens comments make me even more ashamed of our public school system. George Washington was the greatest man in our history and had he not existed kathlene nor I would exist. A.) because he was nearly invincible in battle..he should have died many times yet he didn't. B.) there was so much division in the colonies that there would not be a USA had there not been GW to be the leader that we needed and bring everyone to the table.
