Can unopened bags of flour be frozen, if they are sealed in ziploc bags first?

Yes, I do this to keep the bugs out. It works just the same after it is frozen.

I suppose, because it doesn't destroy any properties of the flour, but the question is... why would you want to? flour doesn't go bad because it has zero moisture in it, and you can double bag the flour to keep weevils out.

yes they can. its best to place them in a large zip lock bag, so the quality will remain the same.
its good for 1 year in the freezer

Yes, and it will prevent the hatching of flour weevils too.

You must freeze flour.....if you don't use it right away...or...well you don't want to know. Remember that the next time you pick up a cookie at the pot luck! YIKES!.... weevils...although they may be high in protein. I'm gonna be sick.............
