Is it true that when a guy is mean to a girl or picks on a girl they really like them or have a crush on them and are afraid to admit it?

Not true at all where I live. If a guy likes a girl he is usually very warm and perhaps even a little shy at times as he might feel awkward about how to act in her presence.
