When should i call?

Question

I asked a girl for her number and she said sure. I have her number, but I don't know when I should call. I don't want to call and have nothing to say. And I don't want to call and she doesn't even want me calling so what can I do? She gave me her number on November 8, 2006. What should I do? Please help And if I should call what can I say to keep the conversation alive?

Usually you wait about three days before you call. If she gave you her number, and while asking her number you gave her the impression it was to talk on the phone and not for homework or something along those lines, than she really does want you to call her.

Start with "Hey (Or your greeting, I usually say Aloha!) Am I speaking with [her name]?"

(She'll be like yeah, and wonder who is calling, or she might know already)

"This is [your name], I've been meaning to call you for a while but I haven't gotten around to it. I've been pretty busy with [name some event in your life that's been going on in school or something, make it short]."

If she relates to it then you can keep talking. If it seems like she's not talking much, then don't be too hasty to end it.

"Anyways, I was really hoping that you'd want to go to see [either "Casino Royale" or "Stranger than Fiction", I'd reccommend "Stranger than Fiction"] on Friday at [time]."

Date tips:

-Ask if she needs to be picked up.
-Arrive Early if you are meeting there.
-Bush your teeth! Wash yourself! Deoderent! lol, may sound simple but if you look like a slob, it's a turn off. Comb and shave.
-Smile! She will like when you smile and think you're "cute".
-Relax! You'll do great if you are just yourself. I know it's very hard to relax around women, especiallly one you are interested in, but just try and have fun.
-A simple "Wow, you look gorgeous." when you see her will make her night.

If the movie gets dry, you don't have to stay. Especially if you can drive. If she seems into it, don't beg her to leave or anything. If she starts criticizing it you should take the hint that she just wants out of the movie, not out of the date! Plan another place that you could head off to. If a movie date does not work, do not try for a dinner date. Those dates are awkward if you just met the person and require you to know a little about them and have some bond.

*Don't try to get a kiss on the first date. If it happens, it happens. Don't set it as the goal for the night. Tell her you had fun at the end of the night, and would enjoy doing it again sometime. Call her about three days later and try and set up another.

If you really want to, give her a call, especially if you sensed she liked you. If not, it probably won't matter to her either way.

When you call, maybe ask her what she did today. What she had for dinner. What she's doing tonight. If the chance comes up, ask her what she likes--skiing, a certain meal, etc. Tell her what you like and if she does too, maybe you can suggest a date doing that together some time. Feel her out.

Dude, just call her. Shes probably going crazy waiting for you to call her. If you are afraid you might not have anything to say or you are not a phone person, then just call to find out if shed like to go out with you and then just save everything for your date. If you take her out, take her to eat and then to an arcade or a movie, because movies everyone just keeps quiet and doesnt really talk much. Hope this helps
