Salt makes almost everything taste better. I do not like and will not eat food that is bland and tasteless, so they better cook with salt and spices if they want ME to eat it, or put it on the table where I can do my own thing.

Not only do we sometimes automatically sprinkle salt into something as we are cooking it, salt is a hidden ingredient in most processed foods. Take a good look at labels. Salt is everywhere, bread, canned veggies and fruits, processed and frozen foods, packaged foods. Salt is a sort of preservative. So they throw it in many things as they package them. And don't look for the word SALT. It might not say salt. It might have a diritative of SODUIM instead. And if you don't know an ingredient, look up what it means online. You will find more junk in food than you can imagine. The only things that don't have salt are fresh fruits and veggies, raw meats, stuff like sugar and honey. Just read ingredients labels. You will learn what is salt free that way.
