An older couple across the street from me gave me a lot of firewood. I want to get them something to say thanks. What should I get for them? Would a thank you card do or a gift?

I would get them a card and maybe bake something like brownies or cookies...or possibly give them a nice plant.

I would give them a Thank you card with a gift cert, to go out and have Dinner. The price of firewood today is pretty high.My chioce would be a card and home made cake, pie or cookies.

Give them a gift card to a decent restaurant. Wood is expensive.

I think a sincere thank you card is great- these neighbors are elderly - they have all the junk they need & if they need more - they's buy it themselves. Or if the guilt gets to you- FTD them flowers. If they are pet lovers - donate some $ in their name at your local Humane Society & include that info in your thank you note. Good luck.

omg- Could you reciprocate by shoveling snow or raking leaves? Some cookies might do, but what if they're diabetic? Gift certificate to a local restaurant?

make them a gift basket......cheese, crackers, summer sausage, some small candies, cookies and put a gift card in it with a card, like a gas card

I would give them a thank you card, and maybe a couple of movie tickets

Maybe you could cook for them, or do some choses or errands for them. Otherwise a nice thank you note would suffice

See if they like tea or coffee. A tin of there favourite tea and maybe some biscuits would be ever so nice. Not too expensive.

Home-baked cookies are never unappreciated.
