I got on a 94 on it last night and was sworn in today for the ARNG. I already knew what I wanted for an MOS. I wanted to know if that was 94% or 94 in some other sort of ranking. When I asked, just out of curiosity what jobs I could have qualified for my recruiter said there are 211 jobs and that would qualify for 206 of them. I don't really care I got into what I wanted and will be shipping 03 Jan 07 to Missouri. Any input?

Your overall ASVAB score determines your "catagory" for recruiting. 50 and above your an ALPHA, 31-49 your a BRAVO, 30 and below you fail (at least for the Army), your QT or the overall score I just mentioned is dirived mainly from the math and english portions of the test, the individual line scores determine your knowledge and ability to learn a specific job in the Army. After enlistment you will hear alot about your GT (general technicle) score, which is a big determining factor in Army schools. You scored high and it sounds like you had high line scores, the only bummer is when joining the ARNG or reserve, you have to pick an MOS (job) that they have in your area, or if your willing to travel or relocate, and that more times than not is limited. GOOD LUCK and congradulations on your decision!

A 94 is a really good score. You qualify for any job you want.

Not a lot of input but that is a very high score and you could have had your pick of almost any job. Don't know what ARGN is but all I can say is good luck and God bless you.

armed services vocational aptitude battery. it just lets them know where your best placed. if you don't have the aptitude for mechanics you wouldn't want to spend the time or money on training someone who would be crappy at that job. it is a wide range of test as you found out to determine what you aptitude for learning and holding onto certain skills.
