I know where your coming from. its hard. the best thing to do is to find someone to talk to about it, and everytime you feel the urge to cut, find that person. if they are not in reach, then LIGHTLY snap a rubberband aginst the normal area you would cut to replace the cutting. and get to help fast. hang in there! good luck! and remember your not alone

Everything that is not considered normal is worth trying to stop...but how??? I guess that the best way to do so is to see a professional like a psychologist or a therapist. But honey, ask yourself why you are doing it? When are you doing it? How does it make you feel when you do it? It sure doesn't help solving all the mental pain by going through the physical pain. You are just making it "double" worse by doing so. Try to do something else when you have a feeling that you are about to cut yourself like dancing, singing, any kind of hobby that is considered healthy. I hope everything works out for you and you do decide to see professional help!

Cutting is worth trying to stop and the best way to stop is to start working on the issues that make you desire to cut. The best way to do that is to talk with a therapist or counselor. And know you're not alone. There's a lot of people who care.

I was a long time cutter and it ended me up in the psych. ward at the hospital and it is a horrible expericance. I have learned that cutting can really ruin the area you cut( I have permanant scares). Now instead of cutting I journal, I exercise alot when I am stressed, and I have luckly found someone that I can talk to about my problems.

Please find help with either a counselor, doctor, nurse- someone. Cutting invloves deep psychological disturbances that need to be dealt with before the cutting gets worse. It's definitely worth stopping but you need to find your release to get the emotions out. Try other outlets such as painting, writing, exercising, etc and please see someone to help you. You don't have to stop all alone- let someone support you along the way. Best wishes!
