Our minds do do strange things when we lose someone we love and we can see strange things, (strange that you both saw the same thing though). Did you ever have a cat that died? I had to have my cat of 11 years put down, and for months after I kept having nightmares, my cat was a short haired black and white cat, but in my nightmares the cat was white or grey, sat in the corner of my front room staring at me, then it pounced and attacked me. This was not in my cats nature, but it was my guilt causing the nightmares, guilt of having my precious cat of 11 years put to sleep. There is a reason for you both seeing the same thing, it was so close to your fathers death, were you together when you saw it? If it has never been seen before then there must be some connection somewhere, but what I don't know. Do you believe in clairvoyants? you could go and visit one! My deepest sympathy for your lose. X

It probably got in there sneaking... When I was younger, I always heard something moving above my bedroom in the attic, I got so freaked out... About a year after it had started, it stopped... When we moved, we found a dead black cat in my attic. Explain how that would happen, same sort of situation.

It could have been that your dad had a secret black cat, or the cat just got in the house. Cats are talented and they moght have found something that you didn't know of, and still don't

I'm sorry to hear about your father's death.

Our minds are very susceptible to strange goings on after a loved one dies ... we want to believe. For several nights after my mother passed away I heard her footsteps on the stairs (and they never frightened me).

Could have been a shadow.....or at this point in your life, emotions running high.......imagination playing tricks. Or it really could have been a spirit, a ghost . Your choice.
