a good turkish friend gave my son a necklace for his birthday. Its a silver triangle, he told my son what it meant but he has forgotten (only 7) would love to know if anyone can help.

it is solid silver triangle(doesnt open not like a locket)with a sort of sqiggly symbol on both sides.

I think it's a "muska". Something that is believed to protect who carries it. They have some special prayers written in them.

Is it a solid silver triangle like a locket? If so, it probably has a prayer inside.
