I don't have a boyfriend, but if i did have one, I'd prefer to talk to him either on the phone or in person. I'd like to hear his voice so i can tell how he feels when he's talking to me. When i IM or text a person sometimes i can't tell if they're being serious or sarcastic. You can't really read a persons emotions on a computer ot telephone screen.

I personally like phone calls and texting...I can hear his voice with phone calls and if I'm at a place that I can't really talk on the phone...texting is a pretty good option....but nothing beats seeing the person face to face of course....

Personally I prefer face to face. It depends on if we are both in town and what I need to say. I never did get into texting. If I can't see him, at least with a phone call I can hear him.

I think it's best to talk face-to-face, of course. When there's long distance, I think phone is the best. You should communicate with SOMETHING physically somehow; on the phone, you can at least hear his voice, but with email, texting, and IMing all you're doing is staring at some electronic screen. You have to communicate with the REAL part of him. That's my opinion.

Instant messaging either on Yahoo messenger or other is the best way to communicate each other,There is a chance you can save your communication with Yahoo archieve, can review back and think again on the points.Phone call is meaning less.If you want to communicate by hand written letter it's a good idea if you are at long distance, but where to hide them from your parents-brother or a sister perhaps can scream you.

face to face :) I'm assuming that's not an option? yes, I would say phone, then email...I agree text seems impersonal, IM isn't too bad either, but still phone is definatly first
