I bought a new computer and it said "Vista capable" and they said when it comes out go on line and give numbers on reciept and they will send it for free. But when is it out??????????? Thanks!

Windows Vista will be available for purchase through retail channels beginning January 30, 2007. After that date, you will be able to purchase a new computer with Vista pre-installed or a box copy of Windows Vista that you can install on a computer yourself.

they keep pushing the release date back...was first due out a year ago but failed the beta testing then they said this month so peeps could have it for X-mass now they say end of Jan 07...
Well it's it's out then great but don't hold your breath...
FYI
while the world waits for this...the Hackers have had it for just over a year as in a common share to the leets...you just know this launch is going to go bad for MS

it is going to be released for commercial customers on november 15th and for the rest of the world its on jan 30th 2007
