My boyfriend has this ex who he says is the female version of him. When I asked him why he would want to date me over her, considering we're very different, he said, "I like different things. I don't want to be with myself." Even so, they dated for 3 years (and even lived together). He broke up with her right before we met, and though we hung out for a month before we started dating, he essentially wasn't single for long. I know I'm not the rebound because rebound relationships don't last for very long. Even so, he's going to see her over winter break, and he lives across the country, so I won't get to see him (I offered to come visit, but he said that freaked him out a little because he's worried about things moving too fast). He and his ex talk a lot, but he's constantly telling me how I'm the smartest, most beautiful girl he's dated. He's told me a lot about her and I know he just feels really bad for hurting her. Do I have a right to be jealous? How can I stop feeling it?

the only way you can stop being jealous if is some one erased your memories of him(in other words you cant stop being jealous)
i do think you have the right to be jealous
let's see -to make yoiur relationship work all you have to do is give him so space and dont really think about him nor the relation ship he has with his ex much.just keep being supportive and understanding and just chill take it really slow since thats wat he wants

if ur jealous it is b/c u do not completly trust him. think of why this may be-- is it b/c u have not been dating that long? the girl is really really pretty and u think he has a weakness for cute girls? he has cheated before? what is it? wutever it is, talk to him rationally. RATIONALLY. do not freak out and yell at him. just sit him down and tell him that u feel a little uncomfortable when u constantly talk about her and go to see her. ask him if u have any reason to think this.
good luck! im pretty sure it isnt anything, and ur just a bit nervous. hopefully u and ur bf will be able to make this jealousness end.

You do because if you and him are dating right now then he could talk about the ex sometimes but he needs to know how you feel about it then just going ahead and talking about her more into the relationship.
