Honey Baked Hams or Logan Farm Hams are sensational hams for the holidays. The only draw back is that the shops are always crowded with very long lines and they are very pricey, coming in at $50.00 for a 9-10 lb. ham.
Another option that I find tastes almost as good, is the spiral sliced hams sold at Sam's Clubs, coming in at only $2.08 a lb. right now. Enjoy!

I can't really help with a brand, so I thought I'd give you a recipe...
"Ham with Cherry Sauce" - 8 to 10 servings
1 fully cooked bone-in ham (6-8 lbs.)
1 cup packed brown sugar
3 tbsp. maple syrup
1 tsp. ground mustard
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 cup cold water
1 (16 oz.) can pitted dark sweet cherries; undrained
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. almond extract
Place ham in roasting pan. Score surface of ham with shallow diagonal cuts, making diamond shapes. Combine brown sugar, syrup and mustard; rub over ham and press into cuts. Cover and bake at 325* for 1 3/4 to 2 hours, or until a meat thermometer reads 140* and ham is heated through.
For cherry sauce, in a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and water until smooth; add cherries. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice and extract. Serve with ham.

Black Forest ham is excellent. If you have a Honey Ham store in your area, they are also excellent but very expensive. I say Black Forest is just about as good but not near as expensive. Solid ham, no fat or bone.

Honey baked is foolproof (important for me), but the Sam's spiral sliced ham is very good. And it is about 1/3 the price.

Hormel
They are introducing hams that are full flavor and idiot proof to make.
I know, I was in their testing group and my ham turned out DELICIOUS!
