My son is only 3. He has a bath every night before bedtime, and he sweats like crazy while he sleeps. (No he isn't covered too much, he sweats even when it's cold.) One night I was positive he had wet the bed because I smelled pee so strongly when I went into his room, but it turned out to be his sweat! What could be causing this? He does have a fairly balanced diet and is otherwsie healthy.

What hormones??? 3 yr olds don't have hormones that cause odors yet - that is what puberty is for -- info from Pediatrician!

He is just going to have stronger body odor that others. Make sure he has lots of water daily, that will help dilute the smell.

Ck with his own doctor on his next visit, nothing to worry about now.

Sweat and urine consist of the same things I think. Your body filters out the fluid within you, and it comes out as urine. but I think somebody prepubescent would have urine-smelling sweat...for some reason, I think I learned about this in health class.

I could simply inform him immediately up. That's the first-rate solution to do it. Tell him that they scent sweaty and that you can most effective do it after he is taking a bath. I see not anything incorrect with that and could haven't any quandary telling someone that. If he desires you to do it that unhealthy then he will comply.

I found an article where someone asked that question.. the guy isn't 3 and apparently in the UK, but it should be pretty much the same.. might help you not worry so much.. but at his next check- up I would check with the Doctor

have you taken your child to the doctor? I read somewhere cant remember exactly where that it is sign of illness, I would get it checked out expecially if he is sweating that much. it wouldnt hurt and hopfully he is ok.

I would call his pediatrician, his hormones could be off balance or something. If he is sweating that bad I would definitely call a doctor.
