I'm going to guess a stye. Use warm compresses on the affected eye and wash your hands constantly. Styes are very contagious. Contact your eye doctor. He/She may prescribe a special eye drop for this.

You don't seem to have conjunctivitis or better known as 'pink eye'...however that doesn't rule out a bacterial infection. Try using baby...no more tears...shampoo. Bare with me...take a warm wet face cloth (make sure it is clean)...put a small pea sized amount of the shampoo on a spot of the cloth...now starting from the inside part of the eyelid..nearest to the nose..in a semi circular motion wipe...do not wipe again with the same spot on the cloth...use a clean part...then repeat this on the other eye...do this about 2 -3 times per day. This should help your problem..but if things don't get better in a couple of days...go to your doctor.

You probably have some sinus drainage in the night. Your eyes are connected to your sinus cavities as a way to drain excess water from them. Sometimes they get backed-up and sinus fluid can drain into your eyes. This can cause an infection (it happened to me). So be careful. You may want to take a decongestant before you go to bed, and if the problem persisits, you may want to go see your doctor.

That's not pinkeye. That's from allergies.
I get that a lot.
You can put allergy eye drops in your eyes before going to bed. That helps.
