I recently got my 3rd ear infection in one month. The doctor took a blood sugar test because he thinks that I could have diabetis. But, how is diabetis related to ear infections?

Your mom loves you and is aware of the risks of having had recurrent staph infections on the cannula insertion site. That adds tremendously to the seemingly hood that piercing your cartilage would have tremendously larger chance for you . A piercing that will get a staph infection is problematic to treat in a individual who has normal sugars, in a man or woman who is diabetic , it could influence in the ought to dispose of a serious chunk of your ear. That will now not be an appealing look for you i'm sure. Although you say that you've got had fewer infections of late, that also implies that those prior infections resulted in a unique degree of resistance for future use. That is an extra strike out on this idea, some thing you do, do not let any friend or mall do that for you. It could be begging for a serious infection and most certainly, that is exactly what would occur. Individually, being diabetic myself and having had equivalent cannula site infections, i would not even recall any such danger. Too many odds that it might be a disaster and for fairly little return.

I've never heard of diabetics being prone to ear infection in particular. Diabetics are prone to infection....period. You might want to ask your doctor cause I've never heard a doc say anything of the sort.
