my mom has arthritis and she is only 49 is that too early?? and it there is a very strong pain reliever that she can take that is not like $200?($100 max?)

Had it when I was 13, now 50. Predisone cost around $15.00 for 2 months.

Most people over the age of 40 have arthritis. It's a fact of life. Mom needs to get on some Motrin or Aleve on a daily basis and get some much needed exercise. Contrary to popular belief, exercise is one of the best things for arthritis.

I agree with Sassy. I had arthritis when I was your Mom's age and was sent to physical therapy. I was sure I would be crippled. But I came away walking without the cane again.
