I have taught Wing Chun Kung Fu for several years - while you may be able to learn some set movements in this way, there is much about stance, power generation and centre of gravity that can not be learnt by copying from a video.
Find yourself a good reputable instructor and go for it!

Wing Chun wasn't developed for smaller people, it was developed by a woman, and happens to be a Chinese art, and most Asians are smaller in height than Caucasian counterparts. With your height, arm length, I think it would be a great art for you. Quit looking at yourself as a "bigger people", you have two arms and legs like the rest of us. Art, is for anyone seeking to be an artist. People might tell you that the art lacks mobility and functional grappling techniques. The use of the arms in the style is very effective if one reaches a level of mastery. Lineage doesn't mean much on an individual basis, but the art has it. Finding a good teacher might be a problem. If you decide on the art, find the names of a few instructors where you live, and ask what people know if them. I can't help with the White Crane. Lion, last time I heard the stat was 30 year ago, and it was white males (USA) at 6 ft, Japanese at 5' 6", that could have been incorrect. (I lived there, most white foreigners towered over the males) It is listed now as WM 5' 10, Chinese at 5' 8", so no, I wouldn't call that much different

Instructional videos are made to be used more like a reference, than teaching. If you've trained in MA for a few years, you are supposed to have a good foundation,so you might benefit from video. On the other hand if you have no previous experience, you can not judge the quality of the video instructions.Be very careful, because there are a lots of self-pronounced "masters" around who have never fought, and will lead you in wrong direction.Best is to find a good teacher and study with him.Good luck and i hope i helped you a bit.

It's like saying "can you learn a language from a CD" - yes you can but it's not the same as going to the country and speaking with people.
An important part of good Martial Arts tuition is making sure your stances, hip rotation, etc are correct. Self analysis of these types of things can be difficult if you're new to Martial Arts in general and having an experience teacher will help you fix these things before they become bad habits.
I agree with the others, definitely look for someone to teach you.

Well if you want to do that you can get the Karate Master Video and Bag at Walmart in the Toy section. You get a Blowup kicking bag. Plus a mat that shows you all the Foot positions and a DVD with instruction by Johnny Nitro. Be a Karate Master get the Karate Master Set while supplies last.

No you cannot.
find a teacher. and since CMA (Chinese Martial Arts) is a type of martial arts that is ripe with charlatans and frauds, I would suggest observing more than one kwoon and making sure you find one that has people who train with techniques that are pressure tested and train with resistance and resisting opponents as well.
Of course they don't just throw you in there and expect you to fend for yourself, but after a certain point you should be doing this with incrementally more intensity.
