This is for a school project and I need some stats to put in a report. Do you know what Alopecia Areata is?
Do you know what the symptoms of Alopecia are?
If so, do you know what kind of treatments there are?

It's the loss of hair (head, eyebrows, eyelashes, pubic hair). Could be disease, excessive tightest of hairbraiding, medicine, etc. Check out one of the Alopecia website to understand more.

There are medicines and laser treatments, but I don't think they are very effective for the mass majority.

why dont you go to a search engine on the internet and type in alopecia areata and do the research yourself. Sorry not trying to be rude but this would be an easy way to answer your own question.

yes, i have had alopecia. it is a varying degree of baldness. i dont 'k now what causes it but i had to have shots in my scalp.
