I think that you can be friends with your ex. Now I wouldn't be friends right a way but over time, sure. (depending on the situation) But if it make your new love feel uncomfortable then maybe you shouldn't talk to them as much, every once and a while is good just to see how they are and/or how things are going with them.

Well if you dated someone you really cared for them a lot at one point, maybe even loved them. Just because you broke up doesn't mean you can't be friends. There are a lot of different reasons, you might want to get back together later, but it never hurts to stay in touch with someone you once cared about.

only you know why you still want it in your phone, if its there because you just want to say hi once in a while than thats fine, but you should find out what your now gf thinks about it and respect it.
